Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to return to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
